BEBE MARIN SPEECH THERAPY LLC launched in April 2015 to provide family-focused, home-based speech and language services for children ages 0-3 years with compassion, respect and an understanding of diverse beliefs, values and cultural preferences.

The company now consists of seven speech-language therapists and two special instructor/behavior specialists, partnering with families to help children achieve their full potential, as well as an office manager.

Bebe Marin, MS/CCC-SL

Bebe is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. She is a Utah State University alum, with over 30 years’ experience in Early Intervention. Bebe is bilingual in Spanish as well as bi-cultural.

“I love early intervention because it is family-focused and implemented naturally during everyday routines. Most importantly, it is provided in the settings where our children feel most comfortable and happy.”

Katherine Sawtelle, MA/CCC-SLP

Kate is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. She is a Edinboro University alum. Kate has a strong background in childhood development and literacy. Kate has more than 20 years experience in early intervention.

Heather Merritt, MS/CCC-SLP

Heather is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. She is a Pennsylvania State University alum. Having a diverse background, she has worked in Mexico and Costa Rica, the Maryland School for the Deaf, and has over 24 years in the Pennsylvania Early Intervention Program.

“Early intervention allows me to experience the magical moment when a child’s eyes light up once they have made a connection between a gesture, picture, sound, or word and the associated meaning.”

Mary Elizabeth Kaveney, MS/CCC-SLP

Mary Elizabeth is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. She is a Clarion University alum. Mary Elizabeth has 14 years experience working as a school-based SLP, servicing a diverse caseload.

Katherine Ulrich

Kathy is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist.  She is an alum of the College of William and Mary and Emerson College. She has 18 years of experience working with pediatric clients in school-based and private practice settings.

Maribeth Louie

Maribeth is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist and is an alumni of the University of Pittsburgh. Maribeth has over 28 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including school-based and preschool programs.

Hailey Brown

Hailey Brown is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist and an Edinboro University alumni. Hailey has experience working as a school-based speech-language pathologist treating speech-sound and language disorders. She has a special interest in working with the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing population, as well as children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

“Transitioning into the role as an early intervention provider has allowed me the opportunity to help families make differences in their child’s communication development at an early age and set them up for success! I enjoy making connections with families and helping children find their voice by teaching effective strategies to use in everyday routines.”

Korie Sherman

Korie Sherman is a graduate of Edinboro University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing . She comes to us with 13 years experience working in Infant toddler Early Intervention. 

“I have always enjoyed working with young children, watching their little minds figure things out, while thriving in their natural environments. I enjoy being part of a team, while working collaboratively to ensure that all families and children receive high quality service.”

Janine Duke

Janine is working with our families in need of special instruction/behavior services. Janine has a Master of Special Education degree, with experience in various key areas. These include evaluating social-emotional health and resilience in young children, utilizing data analytics as well as developing, and implementing positive behavior support plans for young children presenting with complex behavioral needs.

“I love working in EI because it is so meaningful to see how much it can have a lasting impact on a young child and their family’s life. Many lifelong skills begin developing at this age, and it is amazing to be a part of the growth and confidence both children and their families gain.”
